Following a road traffic accident in 1985, the author's health gradually deteriorated.
She became bedridden and started to write creative verse, not only to express her own feelings but in an attempt to reach out to others.
Opening her mind to the rhythm, colour and shape of words has given her something very positive on which to focus for the future;
in so doing, her life has been enriched.
Hopefully, you will find her sentiments of particular significance in your own life,
especially as it is her belief that life is an amazing journey, and that the experience we share can teach us to live from the heart.
In fact, when a close friend asked of her,
"What is it like not to be free?"
Her response was ...
"My words are my passion; and my passion gives me liberty."
